got this for work, always wanted an ecodrive and this came on sale and voila. Wanted something not too dressy but in two tone for work, with a large enough face that did not overdo it…and this was perfect. Have it quite a while now at least 4 months and no worries, it also has been splashed once or twice with water and no problems…
February 2008
This is an update, It is almost a year now (less ten days) since I initially purchased this watch, and it has been working like a dream, been caught in the rain a few times and had it on washing dishes (absentmindedly) a few times and it is still working well. The watch band color still looks good and there are no scratches to the face…so if you were hesitating about buying…..hope this helps…
Even better than I thought
I wanted this watch for my birthday,so when Amazon put it on sale my husband told me to go ahead and order it. When it arrived, I was so very impressed with it. I had not seen it in real life and I thought it was much more beautiful than the picture online made it out to be. It is first class in design and appearance. I LOVE IT!!

Nice, but can’t be used for 10K steps
I wanted a pedometer that I could use to count my daily steps, in order to reach 10K steps a day, as recommended for general fitness. I chose this model because I wanted a wristwatch-style pedometer. Unfortunately, the step counting feature cuts off if you sit down for over 30 minutes. I called Tech4O’s customer service department, and there is no way around this issue. So I’ll be returning the item.
Love it!
First of all, I do agree that calibrating the pedometer if tough and frustrating. But, once you get it done right it’s wonderful and accurate. There is an online tutorial that is helpful…I also called Silva directly and they were courteous and helpful.
On reviewer wrote that if over counts steps due to its sensitivity. There are 5 levels of sensitivity so you can find your right setting. The pedometer does not always count step by step…the pedometer can “differentiates between ancillary movements and actual steps. This feature provides users with the most accurate results by delaying calculation until it has registered 10 steps.” So, this is probably one reason one reviewer thought it was over counting.
Just like any new gadget, there are always quirks to figure out. For me, it was worth persevering and getting the settings right. When you get your watch, open the packages and put the direction aside and head straight for the online tutorial (…)
I’M NOT A GENIUS!
This is an extremely complicated piece of machinery. I have not gotten it to work the way it is supposed to yet. The instructions are “Yeh” long, with sub-function instructions that are not clear. I even called the company and their technitions had to look up the instructions and they were not sure how to set it up. I’m a senior citizen, but not a dummy. I want to use the watch predominately as a pedomiter, but it cuts off after a minute. I have tried to set it up like the instructions say but it is frustrating. Too much of a good thing. Sorry. Not satisfied, but I’ll keep trying.

Good looking, inexpensive watch
The watch looks sober and stylish.
PROS:
1. Casio make, presumably good quality materials and movement.
2. Nice design
CONS:
1. Light is feeble and does not illuminate the digital panel
2. Case of watch is not completely stainless steel, lower part is resin. In my last casio the resin clasp for the watch band broke. I bought this because I thought it would be stainless steel, but its not really.
3. The mineral dial cover is convex, so it will pick up scratches (like my last casio). I prefer flat watches
4. The watch is thick (say 3/60″)

This is a really good watch. Looks and feels solid, has all the functions that I would want from a watch. The telememo is kindof pointless in these days of cell phones, but I like it to store misc information. I got this from Chelsea Watch and I am totally happy with the service. They shipped it really fast. (Their price may be a little bit higher, but the shipping is lower than others)

Love My Ctizen Calibre 2100
I picked up my Citizen Calibre 2100 about two months ago and I absolutely love it. I opted for the one with the black face since I found it a bit easier to read.
The watch itself is quite substantial. It has a real solid feel and appears to be very well built. I have taken the watch into pools and the ocean on several occasions (though never to any significant depth) and have yet to see any kind of water intrusion. Just make sure the bezel is fully locked down!
The watch itself looks magnificent. My father has a Breitling Navitimer and I think this watch looks every bit as good as his. Yes, I know it’s not a Breitling and it’s like comparing a Volkswagen to a Bentley, but I’ve always liked the look of the Breitling and I think Citizen does a good job capturing that look with the Calibre 2100.
The “Eco-Drive” on this watch’s designation means that it is solar powered. I find this to be a very nifty feature. I have yet to see the power meter dip below full charge, though it is summer and I am wearing short sleeves a lot.
I highly recommend this watch.
A quality product and very versatile
This watch is perfect for just about any use. Rugged, classy, practical, very, very stylish for everyday use but yet still perfect for dress occasions. I’ve owned Citizen Eco Drive watches before and they are truly quality products: durable, reliable, and reasonably priced.
This watch defintely has the “WOW” factor and I would not hesitate to HIGHLY recommend it to anyone. A Lexus quality product for a Toyota price.
A real Man’s Watch!
I got this watch for my husband for our 9th anniversary. I think he has told me “I love my watch!” at least 2-3 times a week since he got it not quite a month ago. It has a good weight, keeps excellent time and has several other useful functions. It has glow in the dark hands that one can actually read in the dark! I highly recommend this watch. My husband had been looking at this watch for some time and did a lot of research before choosing this particular timepiece.

Reliable, easy to read, decent looking
I’ve used this watch for more than 20 years, and it fits my needs quite well. I am old enough (56) to prefer an analog face; this one has excellent visibility because of the high contrast between dial and hands, so I can sneak a quick glance without appearing rude. (And it’s nice to have the day and date in the little digital window.)
I don’t need an altimeter, food processor, and phases of the moon on my watch, nor does my wrist need to make a statement about who I am. It’s decent looking enough that I wear it in all but the most formal settings.
When we’re in a dark theater, my partner with the expensive watch is always making me light up the dial on my watch to see the time!
I also like water resistance and a fair amount of durability, since I’m forgetful and unkind to watches. If I were to destroy it, it’s cheap to replace. When the clear plastic face gets light scratches, I buff it with toothpaste. After 10 years, my first one of these bit the dust (the strap gave out), but I was delighted to discover it still being sold on Amazon.
Near Perfect Analog Digital Hybrid
First let me state that I have been a fan of Casio watches for over 20 years due to their durability and accurate timekeeping. I’ve owned both analogue and digital Casios and they have always held up well even in punishing conditions including working construction, trips to the beach, travels around the globe, daily wear in the shower and the like. I’ve occasionally had to replace straps and batteries but none of their watches have ever failed me as timekeepers. I chose this watch because I wanted to have both a few frequently used digital functions along with a stylish analog dial. The case diameter and thickness are just about ideal for my wrist given that as a man I have to admit that my wrists are a bit on the thin side. However, this is not to suggest that men with beefier wrists than mine will be disappointed as the 38mm diameter is a great universal size. The watch is very easy to set albeit the analogue section can only be set in the forward direction. The minute hand advances in 20 second increments by pushing in a recessed button on the side of the case. Holding the button down advances the minute hand once around the dial in under 10 seconds. Stopwatch, alarm, and the dual time zone features on the digital section are handy too. But most important to me is having the month, date, and day of the week available for viewing. The EL backlighting feature of the dial is very bright and its only drawbacks are that it doesn’t have the Casio Afterglow feature which keeps it lit for a second or two without having to hold the button and the backlight doesn’t also illuminate the digital window. These are very minor drawbacks to what I think is a stellar design both technologically and aesthetically. If you need a watch to tell you the moon phases, altitude, latitude, longitude, or do your laundry, I think Casio makes those too, but for a stylish watch with a great combination of basic features and functions, the AW43-7E1V should fit the bill for most users.

It’s a simple but decent looking and durable watch. Analog movement, date, stopwatch, and digital watch in the readout below. The crystal is acrylic, but it’s still pretty durable. I’ve bumped the crystal against many a door jamb, and it has hardly a scratch. The backlight is plenty strong to read the watch hands; however, it doesn’t light up the digital readout – and that is my sole complaint. Otherwise, this watch is perfect, especially for someone who just wants a no-frills, durable, decent looking watch.

Pretty but not very durable
I got this in a promotion when I bought an Anne Klein watch, and I’m very glad it was free. It’s the quality of your typical grocery store grab and go foldable totes, and I don’t expect it to last more than a few months. It is stylish and cute, just not very well made. The inner seams are already pulling apart just a bit, right out of the bag.
As “freebies” go, it’s okay.
The tote bag is okay, but I would not spend the money to buy it that it cost. It is folded up into a tiny square of thin, light-weight material about 2 X 5 inches. It would be good for taking on a shopping trip except I’d never get it re-folded. However, I love my Anne Klein watch, which is really what I purchased. It looks great and so far keeps good time. It has a little bit of silver color and a little bit of gold which means I can wear it with everything. It also has enough “crystals” on it to make it a little bit dressy yet it is sort of sporty at the same time.
If I had paid for the tote bag, the price advertised, I would have been unhappy. Actually, I think the price of the watch was jacked up enough to cover the cost of the tote bag, anyway. It wasn’t that great a deal from the money point of view, but I love my watch, anyway. The tote bag, not so much.
